CELEBRATE WINDRUSH: A MUSICAL VOYAGE

Doors open at 6:45pm | Starts at 7:30pm

Assembly Hall | Lambeth Town Hall | Acre Lane | SW2 1RW

Pegasus Opera Company in association with London Borough of Lambeth and Windrush70 present a musical celebration of the Windrush generation in the newly renovated Assembly Hall at Lambeth Town Hall.

As part of Black History Month, this vocal extravaganza features Britain’s leading black classical singers performing opera, musical theatre and a Caribbean inspired programme as we pay tribute to the Windrush generation. The evening will even end with some audience participation, so bring your best voice.

All tickets are inclusive of a post-show reception with authentic Caribbean food. There will also be a fully licensed bar selling both alcoholic and non-alcohol beverages from 6:45pm.

ABOUT PEGASUS OPERA COMPANY

Pegasus Opera Company is a registered charity and the UK’s leading professional, multi-racial touring company. We have a long track record of staging high quality productions, while developing a new audience and presenting productions with which they can identify.

We exist to create opportunities for young black singers from all backgrounds to develop and perform in innovative opera productions. We strive to break down the elitist perceptions so often associated with opera. Our productions include both classics from the opera repertoire – the Magic Flute, Porgy and Bass, I Pagliacci – and innovative new works.

Pegasus are also appearing in Brixton Library on Saturday 20 October as part of Lambeth’s Black History Month – a month-long celebration of the culture that enriches all of our lives. Find out more.
